Katie + Daniel

I first met Katie last year when she was a bridesmaid in Meredith and Zach’s wedding at Beavercreek Golf Club, and I was so excited when she reached out to me about photographing her own wedding! Meredith and Zach’s bridal party was a sweet and super fun group, so I had no doubt that my experience with Katie and Daniel would be similar. What I didn’t fully realize at the time was how truly special this couple really is, and how their love for each other and their family and friends runs so deeply through them. Their wedding day was one I will never forget.

The moment you meet Katie, you feel like you’re meeting a Disney princess. She is kind, caring, and gracious, and constantly puts others before herself. She reminded me of Cinderella on her wedding day, not only because of her gorgeous blonde updo and sparkling ball gown, but because of the way she treated every single person she spoke to on her wedding day. She cares so deeply for those around her and is the type of girl that everyone says no man could ever be good enough for. But then… cue Daniel. He is just as sweet as Katie, with kind eyes and a smile that lights up a room whenever he looks at her. They are a perfect pair, strong and fierce in their love but gentle in their interactions. I absolutely loved every moment of their wedding day!

Katie and Daniel were married at the church, but the majority of the wedding day was spent at the gorgeous Yankee Trace golf club! There was rain in the forecast at the beginning of the day that was supposed to start right around the time of their first look, but it held off the entire way through portraits and didn’t start until we were leaving for the church. Talk about God watching over us! Every detail was absolutely perfect, from the incredible floral design by Poppy Faye Floral to the live music performances by friends of the bride and groom during dinner… it was a dream wedding day. Most of all, the entire day was bathed in love and thankfulness. You could feel the joy overflowing from everyone present, from the sweet first look that Katie shared with her bridesmaids, to the moment Katie and Daniel saw each other for the first time, to the heartfelt speeches that confirmed every positive quality that Katie and Daniel possess.
