Megan + Corey | Engaged

You guys, I am SO excited to share Megan and Corey’s engagement session!! It feels like I’ve been waiting forever because we ended up rescheduling their session TWICE because of all the thunderstorms we’ve been having. And on the day we finally met, two things happened…. one, what had originally been forecast as a beautiful sunny day quickly turned dark and stormy… and two, we realized that we had scheduled their session in German Village only a mile or two away from where 500,000+ people were gathering in downtown Columbus for the annual fireworks show! OOPS! Nevertheless, we were determined that these photos were going to happen, and boy did they!

There was a storm system hovering verryyy close by for the majority of their session, and Megan was wearing white! Corey was confident that we would stay dry, and kept reassuring Megan that everything would be fine. I pulled out some of my clear umbrellas just in case it started to pour, and as we just kept on shooting, it kept on not raining. I know God was watching, because literally as I pulled out of the parking lot for the drive home, it began to rain. We had time to visit every place Megan and Corey wanted, and I just love the flowers and greenery we found nestled against the brick backdrop of German Village! If you’re not a Columbus native, I’d HIGHLY recommend stopping by when you come to visit. It’s beautiful!

German Village is even more special to Corey and Megan, because that’s where Corey proposed! These two beautiful people were engaged right on the bridge at Schiller Park, and we were able to take some of their engagement photos in that exact spot. I love when the locations we visit are special to my couples! Megan and Corey, the two of you are so filled with life and love, and your wedding day couldn’t come soon enough. You two are an amazing couple and I can’t wait to see your relationship blossom into marriage!
