Alyssa & Matt

After photographing weddings and engagements in the Columbus area for five years, it’s rare that I visit a location that I’ve never been to before… but incorporating AIRPLANES into an engagement session was a new one for me! I absolutely LOVED it, especially when you consider how central this location is to Alyssa and Matt’s love story.

Alyssa is an airline pilot working out of Washington D.C., but rewind a few years and she was flying skydivers out of OSU airport. Matt worked in air traffic control, and after a bit of chatting over the radios, he knew Alyssa was a person he wanted to get to know. He asked her out over the radio while she was out on a flight, and as you can probably tell from these photos, their story was meant to be!

Matt and Alyssa get married next month at Station 67 with a dream team of vendors, and I’m so excited for their big day! They love to laugh together and I’m expecting nothing less from their family and friends. Alyssa may look sweet (and she is!) but she’s also fierce, and Matt brings another level of strength and ease to their relationship.
