Shelley + Scott | Engaged

Every time I shoot a session in downtown Columbus, I joke that I’m sooo bad at driving downtown. But I have to say, I’m getting better at it AND I’ve successfully parallel parked a handful of times. I call that an accomplishment! I met Scott and Shelley downtown (after one such parking occasion) right outside the Supreme Court building. They are both attorneys, and loved the idea of showing off the oversized gavel right outside! The sunlight was perfect that day, and after wandering down to the river downtown, we moved to the Audubon– my favorite spot for cityscape portraits! Their session flew by so quickly with all the laughter and smiles from both Shelley and Scott, and before we knew it, the sun was sinking into that perfect evening glow.

Scott has found a an absolute gem in Shelley. Her bubbly personality and excitement about her upcoming marriage is just infectious! They will say their vows at an intimate ceremony this fall, and I can’t wait to capture the moment they say I do. For now, we’ll just have to setting for their loving smiles shining throughout their beloved city of Columbus. Shelley and Scott, I had such a great time with you both and I can’t wait for your wedding!
