I have been absolutely loving all the engagement sessions that have been happening recently! The weather has been absolutely amazing, and this beautiful session with Katie and Steven was no exception. These two are high school sweethearts, and will become husband and wife next year! We started their engagement session at Jeffrey Mansion, which has quickly become one of my favorite spots to shoot! (This is where I held two senior styled shoots last year- check them out here and here!) The light is so beautiful, and the mansion itself has stunning foliage surrounding the beautiful cobblestone walls and stairs. It’s a photographer’s playground! Katie had actually taken her senior portraits at the mansion a few years earlier, so it was special for her to return with her then-boyfriend-now-fiance!
Katie joked when we arrived that she had come from six hours in the salon getting her hair colored and styled… and doesn’t it look stunning?! It was hard not to center the entire shoot around those gorgeous locks of hers! But the sweet giggles that she and Steven share when they look at each other quickly became the focus. You can tell that they just love each other so much! They are young, innocent, and so very cheerful, and I can already tell that they will be a wonderful support for one another as husband and wife. We took the second half of their engagement photos at their church right down the road from the mansion, because it too holds special meaning to Katie and Steven. This is where they met, fell in love, and where they will be married next summer. Katie and Steven, I just can’t wait for that day, and I bet you can’t either! For now we’ll just keep dreaming… and it will be here before you know it.
