Jessica + Rick | Engaged

When it comes to young love, few embody it better than Jessica and Rick. We met for the first time at their engagement session, and I was immediately struck by their excitement and sweet way they act towards one another! This was their last few hours together before Rick drove back down to West Virginia where he attends college, and it was so sweet. We had such a great time exploring Homestead Park in Hilliard, and racing to finish their session before the park CLOSED! Apparently they make an announcement shortly before sunset that the park is closing, so we had just started their second outfit when they announced that we had fifteen minutes! We raced to the tractor Jessica had spotted on their way in so she could take a photo there for her dad, and then to an open field, and finally to the lake just as the sun dipped over the horizon. Jessica and Rick both kept up like champs, and those last images ended up being some of my favorites from their session. The extra element of excitement when you’re shooting quickly creates lots of laughter and natural movement, that’s for certain! This couple is so sweet, and I can’t wait for their wedding next summer!
