Their officiant Bonnie said it best during their long-awaited ceremony…
“You didn’t compromise the wedding you wanted… instead, you waited. You had patience. And because of that, we all stand here today.”
Ariel and Shawn were supposed to be married in 2020, but like many couples, they chose to postpone their vows to a day where their closest friends and family could all be there in person to witness them say “I do.” Their day came together perfectly at the Estate at New Albany, and if I could choose a phrase to describe how their day felt, it would be “understated perfection.” Every detail was carefully thought through, but nothing could be accused of being too much or over-the-top. Ariel’s dress, simple at first glance, was covered in gorgeous detailing with a lace illusion back. Their wedding party was small, but precise- two best men, one maid of honor, one matron of honor, one bridal attendant (the bride’s childhood best friend), and one ring bearer (a close friend of the groom who fully embraced his role).
From our first meeting, to their engagement session mid-pandemic last year, to their long-awaited wedding day- Ariel and Shawn have been such a joy to get to know! They navigated the unexpected changes with grace, and helped one another stay positive and patient through adversity. Ariel has the best laugh, and Shawn brings it out of her more often than anyone else. Their wedding day was beautiful and I’m so excited to share. Enjoy these favorites from their summer wedding!
Thanks to all the vendors who made Ariel & Shawn’s day beautiful!
