From the moment we first met Jerry and Kelly, it was obvious that they were a perfect match. They were planning a wedding, yes– but even more obviously, they were planning and preparing for the rest of their lives together. The thing that struck me the most about this couple is how much they trust and serve one another. Did Kelly need coffee? Jerry stood up to get it. Was the wedding timeline running a little behind? No big deal to Kelly, because Jerry would take care of it. Their ceremony focused deeply on these values, as they pledged to stand alongside one another and serve with Christlike love for the remainder of their days.
Kelly is a nurse– smart, dependable, steady. Jerry is a businessman– organized, direct, with a hint (or a boatload) of sarcasm. 😉 Their love for each other and for their friends and family poured into their wedding day, marked most notably by Jerry’s prayer at the close of their ceremony for each marriage represented at the wedding. Jerry also had a few surprises for Kelly to make the day extra special! A few weeks prior to the wedding, Jerry came over to our house to record a personalized version of their first dance song, Colour My World by Chicago, for Josh to play at the reception. I don’t know how he managed to keep it a secret, but it was a definite hit! Enjoy some of these favorites from the day Jerry and Kelly said I do. Their day was one to be cherished, and Josh and I loved working it together!
Don’t you just LOVE all the brooches that Kelly had the florist incorporate into her bouquet?! Brides, if you’re looking for a creative way to incorporate something old or borrowed, I absolutely LOVE this idea!
