Christina + Tony | Married

God was smiling on Christina and Tony as they prepared for their wedding last Saturday. Her dress buttoned, his tie perfectly knotted. The skies that had been dumping buckets of rain all morning cleared up just enough for Christina to walk down the aisle to meet Tony for their first look. And what a precious first look it was. If you know anything about Tony, you know that he’s not a huge fan of being the center of attention. But once he could hold Christina in his arms, nothing else mattered.

They shared smiles and kisses, laughter and love, only to be joined by their bridal party with just enough time to spare to finish their portraits before the heavens opened again to another downpour. But the rain didn’t matter, because photos were done, and it would be less than an hour until they said their vows and pledged their lives to one another.

The entire day, Christina had been hoping for an outdoor ceremony. The patio was set, the chairs wiped down (for a second time), and the floral-covered arbor was moved into position from its under-cover resting place. With moments to go, the guests were seated to music complimented by distant thunder rumbles, and the ceremony began. Christina’s father walked his eldest daughter down the aisle to meet the man she had chosen to be her husband, and all thoughts of rain were forgotten. Tony and Christina said their vows, exchanged rings, and committed to one another as husband and wife. They were MARRIED!!!!!

From there (following some family portraits with a backdrop of epic storm clouds), it was reception time!! It was so evident in the energy of the crowd that every person present just adored Christina and Tony. From the heartfelt speeches to the strong family ties, from the tears shed to the circles formed on the dance floor, every moment was a special one. And then something happened that I never expected… the clouds broke and the sun came out. I said at the beginning of this post that God was smiling down on Christina and Tony, and boy, did He give them such a gift in the beautiful sunset. We were able to pop outside for just a few minutes and capture some absolutely stunning golden hour portraits! They are some of my all-time favorites and the rolling hills at Virtues just made it even better.

I want to say THANK YOU to everyone involved in making Tony and Christina’s day such a wonderful celebration! Every vendor involved went above and beyond, and to the families of the bride and groom, thank you for allowing Josh and I to be a part of the celebration. You truly made us feel like family, and it was such a pleasure to witness the way you love this amazing couple. Enjoy these favorites from Christina and Tony’s wedding day!
