From the moment I arrived on Abby and Andrew’s wedding day, I felt like I had stepped straight into a wedding magazine. Her simple lightweight gown with just the right amount of detail, her pure white bouquet (complete with peonies, in August!!!), her soft swept updo… every aspect was perfect. But the difference between a magazine shoot and Abby’s wedding day? The emotion. Happy tears rolled on numerous occasions and every moment was so special. As soon as I arrived, Abby gifted each of her bridesmaids a personalized letter she had written. It was the perfect way to start the day and it was so easy to see how deeply Abby cares for people, and how they care for her in return!
Because of how the timeline was laid out, I didn’t even see Andrew until we arrived at the church! My first photo of him that day was the moment he held hands with his bride around the corner as they prayed together just minutes before the ceremony. They hadn’t seen each other yet, but this moment was theirs, and it’s one they will cherish for the rest of their lives. Andrew and Abby marked the beginning of their marriage by taking Communion together, and a few minutes later Andrew swept her up in his arms and carried his new wife down the aisle in front of their family and friends. They were MARRIED!!!
If the first half Abby and Andrew’s wedding day was a treat, the second half was like the extra scoop of ice cream that you know you don’t need… but you definitely eat it anyway. I just loved their reception! Every guest had such a great time and the toasts and special dances were filled with more tears and more laughter. They ended the night with a singalong and a sparkler exit with an extra touch… fireworks! (I know the guys had so much fun lighting them off, and it literally made the night go out with a bang. So fun!) Abby and Andrew, your wedding day was a blast and you had me tearing up right along with you. Enjoy these favorites from your amazing day!
