It seems like I had been waiting for ages for Rekha and Alex’s wedding day! This couple is so sweet and joyful together, and their wedding weekend was an amazing blend of culture and tradition coupled with a great party. Rekha loves all things Disney, so if you look you can find hidden Mickeys throughout this post! She wore the perfect Cinderella dress (until the reception, when she changed into a princess gown more suitable for dancing) and she and Alex chose to honeymoon at Disneyworld. Their ceremony was moved inside to the ballroom due to the rain, but we had just enough dry weather to capture all their portraits outdoors! They were great sports about it and you would never know from looking at their images!

At the end of their wedding day, normally I would have to say goodbye…. but this time, I got to say SEE YOU TOMORROW! Rekha is half-Indian plus her brother had just gotten married a few weeks before, so they held a joint celebration with their Indian family the next day. They held a full Hindu ceremony full of beautiful South Indian traditions, and it was such a privilege to witness!

Rekha and Alex are such a sweet couple; gracious, fun-loving, and full of laughter, and their friends and family were just the same. I loved spending the weekend with them! I have so many favorite images and it’s impossible to choose a favorite moment to share, but I do want to say that these two have both gained an amazing life partner. Rekha is a teacher and Alex is in medical school, and with careers like that, I can’t wait to see how they impact the world.
