Tara & Dallas

If I were to imagine the perfect summer engagement session, Dallas and Tara’s session would take the cake. Most of the time I find myself photographing at parks, downtown landmarks, or other public locations- but we took Tara and Dallas’s photos in their own backyard. These two lovebirds live in an adorable little house on a back country road, and as we walked down their lane from spot to spot, the entire lane felt like home. Only a few cars passed by, and Dallas knew all their names. We walked down to the railroad tracks, back to the house, and ended in their neighbor’s soybean field, and had such a fun evening!

The weather was perfect, and these two are as effortless as can be. I loved their simple yet classic outfits, the way they smile at each other, and how willing they were to try just about anything I asked. This is what engagement session dreams are made of! Tara and Dallas will tie the knot in a small wedding ceremony later this fall, and I’m so excited to celebrate with them and get to know their families on their special day. It’s going to just feel like home.
