I’ve known Guyon since middle school, so to come home to Virginia and photograph the day he married the girl of his dreams was so special! Guyon and Ruby are the most joyful, giving, and fun-loving people you’ll ever meet. They love their friends and family dearly, and their highest priority on their wedding day was everyone having an amazing time. They hired both Josh and me to be a part of their wedding, and I think we can say with confidence… mission accomplished!
The weather was chilly in Virginia on Saturday, but the sun was shining and nothing could dampen their spirits! Ruby looked absolutely stunning in her lace dress with beautiful detailed sleeves, and Guyon (true to form) wore a black coat with tails. They incorporated so many sentimental details into their wedding day, so many that almost that each item you see has some sort of meaning to them. Ruby’s grandmother played the role of flower girl, tossing petals down the aisle (and purposefully onto guests), making the whole room laugh. Guyon’s grandmother carefully carried the rings down the aisle, handing them off to the best man David- Guyon’s best friend since preschool. I’m pretty sure everyone’s cheeks hurt from smiling, and that was before the epic night of dancing and celebrating even started. It was a day to remember!
Ruby and Guyon, I’m so happy I was there to capture these memories for you and your families! It felt reminiscent of when my own brother got married, and I wish you many years of joy and happiness that you bring to one another. Congratulations you two! Enjoy these favorites from your wedding day!
