I’ve been looking forward to Carissa & Nathan’s wedding day for sooo long now!!! I first met Carissa when she was in high school, and I’ve gotten to know her family well over the past five years. Now she’s a kindergarten teacher and MARRIED to the guy she started dating just as long ago!

Carissa and Nathan met at Super Summer (a leadership camp held every year at Cedarville University) back at the end of high school, and starting dating soon after they realized they lived only a few minutes away from each other back in Columbus! Their relationship stood the test of time while Carissa attended college in Cincinnati, and on a family trip to Hawaii following her graduation, Nathan asked Carissa to marry him!

It’s been such a privilege to see both of them grow and mature into awesome grownups, and I would photograph their wedding day over and over if I could. Carissa shared such sweet moments with her mom and sister before her ceremony, and she and her dad had the sweetest daddy-daughter first look. Brides, if you’re close with your dad, I HIGHLY recommend giving him his own first look moment! It’s easy to overlook dad in the bustle of a busy morning getting hair and makeup done, but trust me, it’s a moment you both will cherish forever.

Denny & Carole, Cheryl & John- you’ve raised an exceptional daughter and son! Carissa, you looked breathtaking and I’m so glad you got to twirl in your wedding dress just like all your Easter dresses from your childhood.
