Aubrey and Tony just joined the family of Michelle Joy brides and grooms a few weeks ago, but as soon as they booked, one of the first things Aubrey asked about was their engagement session! It was the middle of January and she knew they wanted photos in the snow. The following Friday, we had the *perfect* amount of soft fluffy snow fall- plus the temperature was just starting to warm up from the polar vortex earlier in the week!
There were a lot of moving pieces to make this session happen. Tony had to drive in from Dayton after work, and Hanna from Le Reve Makeup & Hair traveled out to meet the gorgeous Aubrey and transform her with this stunning hair and makeup. We met at Orchard House, a cute bed & breakfast / intimate wedding venue just a few miles from downtown Granville, and they were gracious enough to allow us to shoot on their property! The beautiful open fields marked with a few trees and fence lines were the perfect compliment to the wooded area that Aubrey had fallen in love with. It may have been cold, but 1000% worth it in my opinion… just LOOK at these two!!!
Aubrey and Tony have been together for a few years now, and have both served in the U.S. Army. They are strong, caring individuals and I am SO excited to get to know both of them and photograph their wedding this fall! If their wedding is anything like Aubrey’s sweet cousin Chasidi’s wedding, I’ll be one happy photographer! It’s the greatest honor when friends and family members send referrals, and the wedding becomes a beautiful reunion with a new love story to tell. Aubrey and Tony, I can’t wait to tell your story! Thanks for sticking it out in the cold, and I’m so so excited for next time 🙂
