When Kelsie and I sat down to create the mood board for the styled shoot at the second Refined Second Shooter Workshop, we knew we wanted to step it up! We absolutely LOVED our fun Kate Spade inspired styled shoot at the first workshop, but this time we were looking for elegance and a neutral palette with a pop of bright color. It was going to be winter time, just after the holidays, so cranberry naturally came to mind… and it all moved forward from there!

I’ve been sitting on these images for a week and a half now, and it’s been SO HARD not to just share them all!!! We planned our tablescape with Lasting Impressions Event Rental, and chose a textured gold charger that would compliment the rose velvet linen and the richness from the florals. Madison House Designs created a garland of greenery to cascade along the table with pops of blooms to add dimension, and we softened it with a beautiful silk table runner underneath from Party Crush Studio. The menu and stationary cards from the Columbus Calligrapher, along with our sparkling champagne glasses garnished with fresh cranberries, added the perfect finishing touches!

In addition to our gorgeous reception table and cake display, we are obsessed with our bride and groom! Taylor and Bethany graciously volunteered to model for us, and we found the perfect Hailey Page gown at LUXEredux Bridal and paired it with some earrings and a stunning veil. Natalie with Le Reve Makeup & Hair transformed Bethany into a bridal dream, and she looked amazing next to Taylor in his crisp black tuxedo with velvet bowtie courtesy of The Black Tux. We adore every single vendor who contributed to this shoot- they are so talented and we’re thrilled with how it all came together!

Brooke, thank you for taking the behind-the-scenes photos and doing *literally* everything that Kelsie and I couldn’t day-of. Ya’ll, this girl worked HARD! She was there at 6:45AM to help unload, and was working all day to make sure that our models were ready, the tablescape was perfect, that our attendees knew where to go, and that everything was cleaned up on time at the end of the day. I also need to give a shoutout to Josh, who gets up before 7AM maybe once a year and did so to help set up the technical side for the education modules. He also drove back to help us tear down and take a load of #allthethings back to our house and I’m so thankful! Love you babe!

Finally, KELSIE!!! You are such an incredible friend, a hard worker, amazing photographer, and the sweetest encourager and I’m so thankful we created this workshop together! Cheers to many more adventures together, and also trying to remember to take a photo together at the BEGINNING of the day before we’re tired and gross 😉 Maybe one of these days we’ll get the hang of it.
