Winter Engagement Session in Downtown Columbus

Emma & Kenton

I have to preface Emma & Kenton’s engagement session post with this observation… based on how December’s weather panned out, we chose horribly when nailing down the date for their session. I’m literally laughing thinking about it, because I’m pretty sure we took their photos on the absolute coldest day of the season so far. Maybe we won’t feel this way in February once we’re all accustomed to the usual Ohio winter weather, but that day felt brutal.

HOWEVER- I’m telling you this because when you see Emma and Kenton’s photos, it’s not obvious at all. They look soft, warm, and snuggly… the perfect session to scroll through with a mug of hot chocolate.

I first met Emma and Kenton the day of their session outside The Rossi restaurant in the Short North, just a few blocks from their apartment. Rossi is Emma and Kenton’s “spot”… their first date was at Rossi, and over the years they have celebrated their anniversaries and even their engagement there! When they told about it, I just knew it was the perfect place to start. Because the weather was so cold, we moved on quickly to the Scioto Mile- my favorite downtown spot, especially during the wintertime! The view is spectacular 365 days of the year, and there are so many options for epic locations all within short walking distance. These two warmed up to the camera so quickly and we were able to get so many adorable shots in a short amount of time!

Emma and Kenton, it was a joy spending this chilly winter day with you. Enjoy these favorites from your session!
